Jimmy Choo for H&M- a week later

Originally, I was going to wait on line for the collection..until the Friday night before, I was going out to dinner with my family and people we're already lining up. No thank you.
I read on a fashion blog that all of the NY stores were getting a restock, so Saturday I strolled into the Beverly Center, and out I came with my two finds:

There were still TONS of shoes( only under a size 9) but overall, I was quite happy, since these were two of the three items I wanted if I was waiting in line(the thigh high boots were the other)
So, I think I may have a new 25th bday dress!

November Blogger Interview: Tamstyles

Our November blogger interview is the glam Tamstyles. Her blog is filled with amazing projects, finds, and great style!

What inspired you to start blogging?

I was tired of being filtered on a forum about handbags, so I decided to start a blog and express myself freely.

What are some of your daily reads?

My list grows and changes. My blog stew pretty much sums it up, plus my dashboard has over 100 blogs that I touch as they update. But since I am into projects right now, Three Men and a Lady, I Suwannee, Little Green Notebook, and Elements of Style to name a few.

Who or What are your interior design inspirations?

I cant say my inspiration is one person. There are so many talents that help to inspire me. Ruthie Summers, Jan Showers, Nate Burkus....The list goes on. I study design daily and my eye seems to not fail me when I am out shopping. Plus other bloggers always inspire me. I love seeing what other people are doing. I think we all help inspire each other

What is your favorite room in your home and why?
Right now its my office with my formal living running close by. I put all the things that I love in my office. When I started blogging, I was working on my office at the time. I didnt even have paint up yet, so blogging helped me define what I wanted even more. Plus the office gets the most attention from visitors. People seem to really like what I have done when they stop by.

What is your winter wardrobe staple?
Boots, and my red coat. I love boots that go to the knee and above. So pairing those with some skinny jeans just makes my day. I love dressing in the winter more so than any other season.

What is your current favorite:
Song:"One in a million" by the late Aaliyah
Movie:"Lady sings the blus"
Celebrity Crush:Robin Thicke
Guilty Pleassure: SWEETS. Seriously its bad. When I find a sweet that I love I gain weight because I love it so. Right now I discovered these cinnamon rolls that Walmart sells in a 6 pack for $3.00. I put them in the microwave for 15 seconds and they are sooooo good.

Finally, what is a quote you live by?
"When people show you who they are, believe them the first time." I love this quote and it keeps me on top of my game.

If Get it Girl Style isn't a daily read, we hope you add it to your blog list!

So You Think You Can Dance

Last night, my friend and I went to see the So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 tour in San Jose. I'll admit, this show is a HUGE guilty pleasure of mine, and I wish for nothing more to be able to dance like these people, but sadly, I can't...instead, I just watch and live vicariously through their movement. Of all the seasons I've watched, season 5 was my definite favorite, so I was thrilled when my friend surprised me with tickets for my last birthday (in July). We had a great night watching the best routines of the season, and seeing all the dancers' individual personalities show. It was amazing to witness so much talent on one stage, and I was so sad when it all ended.

I thought I would leave you with one of the best dances of the last season (if not the show)-it brought me to tears while watching it on TV during the summer, and again last night during the show. It is danced by Ade and Melissa, and choreographed by Tyce Dioro in honor of one of his friends who has breast cancer.

Candy Girl

2010 is a year of weddings for me, I already have 4 on the schedule( 2 of which I am a bridesmaid, and they happen to be a weekend apart)I was browsing pictures on facebook last week, and I found pictures from a wedding a friend attended that had a gorgeous candy bar. I thought this idea would be perfect for a wedding shower for Natasha, my friend since high school.

I think it is an adorable idea, she loved it, so I started searching online for some more pictures. I haven't been able to find a lot from showers, but here are some gorg ones from weddings

So ladies, have you attended/thrown an event with a candy bar? Any ideas/suggestions? Should we match all the candy to her wedding colors( red and white mostly)?

Christmas DIY

Photobucket

Having just moved into a new apartment, and now paying rent, my roomie and I are all about do-it-yourself projects. This was just too cute (and easy) not to share. We are going to attempt to make the ornaments soon, and I'll post pics of how they turn out.
