Shop For A Cure and Rebecca Taylor giveaway

Today is October 1, the official start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and an influx of pink items and products in the stores to help raise awareness and work towards a cure. This is a cause close to my heart, because my mom is an example that early detection saves lives. We were so lucky hers was discovered quickly, and with one surgery and no chemo or radiation, she has been cancer free for over 2 years now.

So here is a roundup of some items that proceeds go to fighting for a cure:

Michael Kors designed shirt for Saks Fifth Avenue.

Every NFL team has commissioned breast cancer awareness hats and sweatshirts. Look for your favorite teams coaches wearing these hats during games this month.

KitchenAid mixers and other appliances in baby pink.

Proflowers bouquet of pink gerber daisies

Splendid tanks in pink camo

Carousel cakes "pink velvet" survivor cake

Lacoste pink and white striped boat tote

Ralph Lauren's Pink Pony collection sells mens, womens, and great candles on his website year round
So whether you buy a product, do a walk, or just remember to get yourself checked, this month we have to remember early detection saves lifes, and honor the strong women who have fought this battle before us

We are giving away one REBECCA TAYLOR pink breast cancer awareness bracelet to a reader. Just leave a comment with what you are planning on doing this month(or have done in the past) for this cause, and we'll pick a winner on Monday

  6. I'm really excited for this month. My grandma passed away from breast cancer last year. She had an early case, like your mom, which came back 10 years later. Thanks for posting this!

  8. OMG! I love that Lacoste tote! It might be worth what I'm sure is the ridiculous price to support such an important cause. My family too has been affected by breast cancer, along with many friends, who were unfortunately not as lucky as your mother.
