Now that I am finally employed again, I can 'splurge' on some items I adore, like ANYTHING in my condo to be covered in Chiang Mai Dragon fabric from Schumacher

Ideally, I would love to score bamboo chairs and recover them as seen below. for about 100 for the entire project..a girl can dream, can't I?

Erin recently made a memo board for a clients kitchen with the fabric
A letter box from an etsy seller
So, do we all still love it? is it a fad that will be kinda over with? What do we think?

I LOVE the pillow and the box you made! I'm def. not over the fabric! The good thing is, the colors go well with a lot, and if used as an accent it'll never get old! Love it!
ReplyDeleteIf you LOVE it, the trend is not over. Follow the pieces you adore and not the trends, you will be much happier with the end result that way. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeletePS. I think the fabric is FAB!
Very pretty!! I love the colors in the fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I think things come and go, but this is too classic to become a print of the past. I love the colors & really enjoy the pillow with the little bobbles on the trim!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'd love to have the throw pillows for my living room!! They'd look great with my chocolate brown leather chairs (which you STILL haven't seen, miss danielle).
ReplyDeletexoxo!
Still love it, I dont think I'll ever hate it!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love that couch. And the fabric is just perfect.
ReplyDeletei'm in LOVE with this fabric!! absolutely in LOVEEEE. good choice :)
ReplyDeleteStill love it. That Oly bench with the pillows looks great.
ReplyDeleteI think it's fab! How do you get the fabric without knowing a designer? I live in St. Louis and there is a Schumacher showroom, but you need to be a designer. Grrr...
ReplyDeletei LOVE it. i'm searching high and low for it online (alabaster color way) to use for a headboard i have in mind for myself. any idea where it can be had for a good price?
ReplyDeleteI am late to the Chiang Mai bandwagon, as it only recently caught my eye for an upholstery project. My boyfriend loves Asian-inspired items and I love bold colors, so this was a happy medium. Now that I've seen it, I notice it everywhere! I still can't believe it's so [painfully] expensive though -- I need a 25"x25" swatch for a chair cushion and cannot bring myself to give up the cash. Do you happen to have any ideas for similiar fabrics?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to find 2 meters of the alabaster to cover two valances. any idea what the price is per meter and if there is somewhere I can get this retail or resell?
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with the dragons too, unfortunately, my husband and I changed our whole look to more modern. I now have four 20"x20" pillows done in the red Chiang Mai fabric. They were professionally hand sewn with a knife edge and feather fill. They also have a zipper to remove and clean. They were barely put out or used so they are in perfect condition if anyone is interested! I know you all know how expensive the fabric is plus the fact that the pattern is so large you have to get tons of extra fabric to ensure you get the right part of the pattern on the pillow. Two have the dragon centered and two have the big flower centered. So, I am respectfully asking $75 per pillow which overall is less than half of what I paid originally. It pains me to get rid of them but I would be thrilled if they went to someone who appreciated! Please e-mail me if you are interested. I will be happy to send pictures: melibrant@yahoo.com
