Happy Friday: Kentucky Derby Bound!

Hello lovies! I am in Kentucky at the Derby for my daddy's surprise bday celebration! I will have full updated when I return, including his reaction to seeing 12 people at the airport when he thought him and my mom were just going to Vegas. Hopefully the weather continues to hold up, so we can enjoy our mint julips in the sun with our big hats!!

Shoe Help

I'm hoping spring comes back to the Bay soon, and the sun will be out again. That being said, I need to update my wardrobe. First item on my list: Wedges. I always have a hard time finding wedges that look right, I'm hoping you guys can help me out--I would love a pair that is multifunctional (work, fun dresses, or dress up jeans and a tee).

So far I've found this pair that I like but have yet to try on.

In the Bag: Love Maegan

Happy Friday lovies. Our April blogger feature is the lovely love Maegan, a fantastic valley girl with amazing style. And once again, we're insanely jealous of the bag.

Okay, here's my stuff!

black Salvatore Ferragamo bag ....a gift from my father-in-law. He always gets me the greatest bags. Always.

In my bag:

* Burberry wallet

* Tom Ford sunglasses ...usually on my face though and not in my bag
* LipFusion lip gloss in "Sweet" {my favorite lip gloss ever}
* Pout lip liner
* Digital camera {a canon powershot elph} ...this is always in my bag and I use it for my outfit posts. I have a nicer camera with a cordless remote but I'm so clumsy when I'm "on location" {lol -for instance, today I dropped it when I went to set it for a shot and the lens is now stuck out. I Have to send it back and in the mean time, carefully use my good one, ugh}
* USB thumb drive
* House keys ...my husband just made new house keys for me ...the zebra and the black with hearts. He's so cute. {car key usually too but my car was being serviced when I shot these images}
* iphone
* Sephora pink zipper clutch {basically my first aid kit -holds: pills, band aids, safety pins, tampons ...you know, things you just don't want to be caught without}
* Orange Tic Tacs ...always in my purse and in my car
* Hair clips
* Randomly these two gold chain necklaces were in my purse pocket ...One is called the "Snake Charmer" from Jami Rodriguez and the other is a wish bone pendant on a gold chain from Priveleged

...while my bag is fairly clean, there are a few receipts loitering the bottom as well as a handfull of change. I figured I'd leave that mess out.

Perfect Bridesmaid Hair

It is officially wedding season ladies. I am in full diet mode, and trying to plan ensembles for plenty of rehearsal dinners and showers and parties. This May/June, I will be in two weddings two weekends in a row. One is black tie at the Plaza in NYC{ and ny blogger friends want to meet at the met on Sunday for the Costume Institute Exhibit?!?} and the second is an outdoor ceremony and tented reception in Westlake Village, Ca( a very cute town close to wear I live)

Here are some ideas I was thinking for hair options, let me know what you think or if you have any better ideas!

For the NYC wedding, I was thinking something a little more formal but not too stiff

And for the LA shindig, some loose curls like Olivia or Lauren Conrad

I'm loving everything about this picture of Anne Hathaway at the Coachella music festival this past weekend. Her dress, hat, and shoes make for a lovely effortless feel, and her darling bf in his laid back jeans, tee and chucks is the perfect arm candy.

True Blood..worth the time commitment?

This weekend I started watching some of season One of True Blood on demand. Maybe I'm missing something, but it's ok...not quite as epic as I had heard. Do you ladies watch it? Did it totally pick up in season 2 and I should stick it out? Or if vampires aren't my thing(Which they most def are not) should I just stick to Entourage and Big Love?

But I will say, if there are more shirtless episodes with this guy, I may be hooked..o.m.g.

Glee

So excited Glee was back last night. I loved that they sang a Lionel Richie song (I don't know what it is but I love me so Lionel). I thought last night was a great episode...I'm can't wait to see how the season plays out. What did you think of last night's episode? Are you all as excited as I am? Danielle is lucky enough to be going to the Glee concert next month, unfortunately I already have plans and can't make it down to LA to join here.

Oh Friday, it seems like way more than a week since we last saw each other...but we welcome you back with open arms.
