Even though she is no longer with us in Blog Land~ I just want to say Happy 24th Bday to Miss Sara..I wish I could be there with you in SF celebrating. I miss you terribly and hope this year is filled with more memories, more snuggles/high fives, and hopefully some funfetti cake ;)

Next up in our monthly series is Summer of {B is for..}, one of my daily reads and an ever so fabulous blogger..Take a peak at she has in her bag...

Merci Beau Coup Danielle for including me in this fun and nosy series. I say nosy in a good way bc you know we all are. ;) Like many women, I have too many handbags for my closet and I cannot pick just 1 of anything so you get two. I actually alternate between these two throughout the week in the summertime. The Hippie Cross Shoulder Bag is from Urban Outfitters. It's the bag I grab when I want to be less casual - i.e. shopping at the green market, going to a concert in Central Park and grabbing brunch on Sunday. The other bag is one of my favorite bags around. It's Kooba in black leather with brown straps. I feel like I can wear this bag with anything and I feel it makes a statement. It's kinda like art. To me, at least. As you can tell I love bags that are roomy and sans compartments.

Contents Include:

1. Japanese masking tape - I send a lot of letters and love to spice up plain envelopes, so I am never without a roll or two of this stuff.

2. Netflix - Precious - waiting to be inserted into the mailbox on the way to work.

3. Calendar/Pencil/Peanut shaped eraser/"really good ideas" notebook - Mostly for jotting notes down dealing with the adoption process and auditions/castings (given to me by a special someone because I love elephants. "Trunk" up brings you lots of luck!)

4. iPhone - Um, my life. Music, contacts, my connection to the world. Cover is by Paul Frank.

5. Wallet - Hayden-Hartnett change purse that I have turned into my wallet. I hope it lasts forever.

6. Deodorant - Hi. My name is Summer. Enough said. I.sweat.a.lot.

7. Beauty - Essie polish in Lapis of Luxury for touching up chipped nails, MAC Studio Fix Powder/Base with pink Sephora brush, Tweezerman, Make-up Forever HD Concealer and Laura Mercier Secret Concealer for my dark under eye circles and Mini KORRES Lip Gloss in Cherry Red.

8. Sunglasses - Ray Ban Wayfarers in brown and green. Rue La La purchase!

9. Flip in HD - Because random things happen here in the city and I never want to miss a thing.

10. Other - Car keys with Mustache Key chain and Taco Key cap, hair band, disposable wooden spoons that are green (I eat a lot of gazpacho), Decaf Vanilla Chai Tea and an extra Metrocard for the NYC subway.

WOW, I sure carry a lot of random stuff around, don't I? I think it's all useful but I am sure most of it is not. Oh well! Thanks again for inviting me over to empty my bag out for all to see. Blackberry FAIL

Yesterday, I went 6 hours without my blackberry..no bbms, gchats, emails, blogs, phone calls, facebook, nothing..it all started out innocently enough..my charger at work broke..not really.
That turned into a non working phone, no battery, no way to salvage my contacts/ringtones/pictures of Georgie and my beloved Bubba on my phone
After being in tears with the Verizon guy over my lost pictures of my deceased dog, having to wait until my daddy came home from Vegas to get his old phone, and another 2.5 hours at the Verizon store, I have a phone, but no contacts.

I don't know what is worse..the loss of all my info, or that I am completely helpless without technology

Rawr..that is all..I hope that was my fail for the week....

Noteworthy Nudes

Sorry if the post title alluded to some X rated post, but no..Just dedicating this entry to some gorgeous nude colored dresses and accessories..

I recently have been rocking my nude YSL Tribute sandals the last couple of days at work and to weekend dinners, and I'm thinking I need to incorporate a dress into my wardrobe as well

Do you go "nude"? If so, what shades do you pick to flatter..or is it one of those only when you're tan sorts of looks

The Dry Bar Blowout Bar

Since I had to drive out to Palos Verdes for a wedding on Saturday, I had the perfect excuse to stop in at Dry Bar in Brentwood. Their motto, no cuts, no colors, just blowouts is an affordable(35.00) and fun( mimosas and muffins, and all the tabloids I could handle) excuse to not do your own hair

I picked the "Southern Comfort" volume and loose curls, which I knew would fall perfectly in time for the wedding at the beach

Lucky me, in October they are opening a location in Sherman Oaks, so I imagine I will be buying a monthly membership!

ps..George had a lovely sleepover and slept all day sunday after doing many laps in the pool, getting stung by a bee and almost a trip to the puppy er(luckily they had the puppy first aid kit at home with a bee sting pads in it) and chasing road runners in the backyard

Hello kittens! Yay it is finally friday! George has his first overnight tomorrow at his grandparents house since I will be attending a wedding in Rancho Palos Verdes for a friend since high school. I will be a nervous wreck, and hope they don't spoil their grandpup tooooo much while he is there!

Tonight is the final episode of The Hills, and though the show is a shell of what it was, I still watch, and will be saying farewell tonight, even though the star is no longer even on

I cannot even remember Heidi's life pre-Spencer..what was this kids name?

If anything, the Hills taught everyone the dangers of fame and what too much plastic surgery and a controlling husband can do

Have you ladies discovered the amazing preppy street style blog, unabashedly prep? It is this amazing collection of extremely stylish men and women across America, who just exude preppy chicness. I'll let you in on a little secret..I have a weakness for preppy guys. Like I melt. When I was at the Kentucky Derby, I literally would just stare at all the gorgeous men, clad in their pink shirts and seersucker. I died.

Welcoming the Weekend

Is it just me, or do short work weeks always drag on the longest? Hopefully the sun will stay out this weekend so I can hit up a sample sale, bday dinner for a friend home from Boston, long walks with Mr. George, and of course, finishing my month long , non-stop soccer watching session.

Favorite Summer Snack:Otter Pops

Lately I have been indulging in my favorite tasty summer treat, Otter Pops. I totally forgot about them until I was in Target and purchased a box of 100 for 3.99, and have been having a lovely 25 calorie snack that takes me back to childhood memories at Camp
