Cheers to 2010!

Hope you ladies have a wonderful and safe celebration of the end of 2010! Hope it is filled with lots of champagne, dancing, and kisses at midnight!

I'm taking the rest of the week off since I am up in the Bay Area with my besties.

I will be back in full force next week with recaps of my trip, the holidays, some resolutions and goals for 2011, and hopefully, I'll have settled on an idea for my blogger series for 2011!

A Few Random Thoughts on Lauren Conrad

This post is a little random, and it all started with finding this picture online of Lauren Conrad. I really like this coat, and though I always found her a little boring on the show, she really is one of the classier ones from the Hills

and I will admit, I am a consumer of her products I bought her style book for the hair tips

-I plan on some variation of this for new years-loose curls with a little braid to keep it all in place and out of my face-

And I love her line at Kohls. I recently scored this little number on sale for under 20.oo

She also has been rocking the winged eyeliner alot lately, which is something else I may incorporate into my new years eve look

But most recently, I have been thinking the Future Queen Catherine could pass as her brunette sister

Fab Design Finds: Costs Plus World Market

Over the weekend I had to stop at a different mall to pick up some things, and wandered into Costs Plus Market. I never really thought about the store before, but boy was I pleasantly surprised! What adorable things I found while wandering through the aisles, and if I wasn't on spending hiatus I would have scooped some goodies up

Happy *Birthday* Weekend!

Hello dolls! Hope you all had a great week..I will be out today since it is indeed my 26th birthday( as well as my mommy's bday!)

I decided to be a little crazy and take the day off today , so we're going to go shopping in Beverly Hills, have a light lunch because the whole family is celebrating tonight with dinner at Gordon Ramsay's resturant at The London Hotel in West Hollywood

I'm going to consider 26 still mid twenties-I'm not quite sure if I am ready to be in my late 20s...

What will I be wishing for this evening when I blow out the candles? Another year filled with love and support from my family and friends, snuggles from Georgie, and I think my mantra is going to be just let it be. In the past I have been known to get in my own head sometimes and focus on what hasn't happened in that "plan" I made for myself years ago..Everything is happening the way God is guiding me, so I'm going to sit back and just live and let it be..hopefully in some new shoes

Drugstore Beauty Buys

I could spend hours going through the makeup aisles at Target. Especially if there is a sale going on. Everytime I come home, I find more and more goodies from last time that I am just waiting to test out.

Here are a few of my recent favorites:

I first discovered Rimmel Makeup on a high school trip to London..at that time you couldn't get it in the states and I couldn't stop thinking about it..now you can find it everywhere! This mascara I find to be equivalent to Benefit

I think this Covergirl lipstain is the best around..lasts really long and doesn't dry out my lips

I ADORE thes 5.00 ELF kits..this eye edition I keep in my gym bag so I don't have to take all my makeup with me in the morning..it's perfect

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Christmas music is a guilty pleasure..I pretty much don't ever change a song year round when it comes on my itunes. I wanted to share some of my favorite songs with you ladies, as well as a little bit of the tradition surrounding a few

The first two songs on the playlist are ALWAYS the first two songs that play Christmas morning..starting with Band Aid "Do they know it's Christmas" anyone who knows my family thinks this is absolutely the funniest thing, but my dad says that since it came out the year I was born, it always is played-my poor brother the year before has no such song..I wonder who is the favorite :)
Second is Gloria Estefan "Christmas in your eyes" it is my moms favorite song.

In our house-no matter if we were living in California or NY, we wouldn't be allowed to run to the stockings until these tunes hit the speakers and we got the go ahead..I know that when I do eventually get married and have some kiddos, these two songs will be the first ones played every year

The rest of the playlist is a little of everything..from Britney/Nsync/Hanson to Otis Reddings/Nat King Cole and Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride..

Crushing on Kate Spade's Studio Mona Coat

Since Kate Spade's fall look book came out, I have been totally smitten with the studio mona coat(which is now on sale, it is $521 from $749)

As you all know, I live in LA, so um, having another heavy coat on top of the few I already have isn't realllly practical, no matter how amazing it is

Then, Miss Emma Pillsbury wore it to send New Directions off to Sectionals

and even her costar is smitten, as she wore it in London while they performed on X-Factor

Le sigh. The skirt version may be a little more realistic for my lifestyle, but it's just not the same
