Christmas Vacation

Hello ladies! I am going to take a little break from the bloggy here for the rest of the year. Don't worry, I'll be back in full swing on January 2nd. I just need a little time to celebrate the holidays, pack up my apartment, and just breathe and figure out how I can still make this the creative outlet I love with my new work schedule.

I will still be around on twitter so you can hear me chatting it up there(if you don't follow, send me a request..I had to go private because of the spam)

I wish you all a fabulous holiday and super fun and festive New Years. I can't wait to share with you all the exciting things I have going for 2012.

Happy weekend lovies! What are your plans for this final full shopping weekend? It is my 27th birthday tomorrow, and I have a low key dinner planned at Geisha House with one of my oldest friends. I could not be happier to leave 26 behind. 26 was one of the hardest years I have ever had with more tears than I ever thought possible. A lot wasn't shared here on the blog because I just didnt want to be a downer all the time. 26 was the epitome of quarter life crisis.

But 27 has lots of hope and promise already. I get the keys to my new apartment in West Hollywood tomorrow. I have a new job that I love even though I work 12 hour days. I have a new outlook on life and some new plans for next year to make the most of my new home over the hill. So, goodbye 26..I couldn't be happier to see you go..bring on 27!

These boots were made for Walking-Sponsored Post

Country Outfitter, a retailer of ariat boots sent me these red heritage ariat boots to review. I was so excited to receive them because I am attending the Stagecoach country music festival in Indio next April, and three days of cowboy boots is a necessity. I also have wanted a pair of red boots since I saw them on How I Met Your Mother.

The boots are super comfortable, and look great with jean shorts and skinny jeans. The detail is intricate, and I already know I will get lots of compliments on them. They are that perfect amount of worn in, yet ready to wear to make my own marks with them. Below is how I plan to style them:

Stagecoach f/ ariat boots

Old Navy fitted shirt
$27 -

Bottega veneta handbag
$1,250 -

Ariat Women's Heritage Western R Toe Boot - Red Deertan
$140 -

*The opions of this post are all my own.

My Favorite Find!

Hello loves! Today is the last installment of "My Favorite Find" series, and I am going to end it on the 3 year anniversary of this little ol blog! Thank you to all the fabulous ladies who have shared their finds here, and to all you readers for actually coming by and reading this blog for the past three years. How quick they go!

I stumbled upon my find in a vintage shop in Berkeley before my 21st birthday. I was going back to NY for Christmas(this was while my family was living there) and was about to head off to Boston for the big 21.

We were just browsing a random shop when I spotted this. Vintage 1970s Halston. 41.00

I didn't even try it on...knew I needed it. Handed my friends 50.00 and ran out of the store, knowing that the owner must've forgot a zero and I was never going to go home with her.

an amazing mauve mini dress with tie sash that looks so fun on! I've only worn it twice..for my 21st birthday and one other time in Las Vegas, but I just adore looking at it in my closet, knowing maybe if I do 50,000 more squats I can rock it again!

What is your Favorite Christmas Carol?

What is your favorite Christmas song? I have a my family we have a tradition of playing the same two songs on Christmas morning ..Do they know its Christmas folowed by Gloria Estefan Christmas in Your Eyes. After that, we have a fun mix of the classics, country, and of course my pop favorites.

But I will say, the song that always gets me is Otis Redding White Christmas.

I love his soulful voice and it gives me chills every time.

Excuse Moi

I'm a huge Muppet Fan. I saw the movie last week, cried, came home and watched my Muppet DVDs. If they actually did tours of the Jim Henson Studio on La Brea I'd go all the time. If me and Jason Segal ever dated, there would be too much Muppet love to ever make it work.

Anyways, for those of you not super creeped out by my love of Muppets, I suggest checking out the OPI collection. I just ordered Exuse Moi to wear on my nails this holiday season(among a few other colors)

ps...Swatch and Learn is the best blog ever to see through nail polish reviews

Blogger Crush: Julia of Gal Meets Glam

I am completely smitten with the style of Julia from Gal meets Glam. This college senior at University of the Pacific is always perfectly put together and has completely gorgeous hair. When I was a college senior if I made it to class, I was either in half of my outfit from the night before or in some form of juicy sweatpants. And always hungover. I miss college.

Anyways, here are a few of her adorable outfits and check out her entire blog here

Obsessed with: Ann Taylor Lina Wedges

I am having a little shoppers regret not scooping up these Lina Wedges from Ann Taylor on Saturday at 40% off..I justified that I need to wait for the 238.00 electric blue calf hair wedges to be a little cheaper since a-I'll probably wear them only a few times, b-they would make me about 6'4 and c-I will probably break my ankle if I am even slightly tipsy in them

But boy are they STUNNING. Way to step up your game Ann!

The Best 4.00 You'll Ever Spend

I'm always impulse buying when I hit up Trader Joes, so this weekend I picked up a Cinnamon broome to place in my living room for some fresh smell. I want to go back and get one for every room! The smell just goes throughout the entire house and I can easily hide it in the corner

November my Favorite Find: Natalie of Mint Love Social Club

Happy Friday loves! Our last guest feature for My Favorite Find is Natalie of Mint Love Social Club

Natalie and her fiance live in an amazing loft in downtown and throw dinner parties, post fabulous recipies, and have an adorable Boston Terrier! All photos in this post were taken by her as well. I just love her find and know you ladies will too!my

"Hi Sweet Nothing readers! I'm Natalie from Mint Love Social Club and I am really happy to share with you my November favorite find! I can't take full credit for this find as it was a gift from one of my girlfriends for my 26th birthday this year. My favorite find a an absolutely beautiful book by Fleur Wood, an Australian fashion designer, called "Food Fashion Friends." The book truly encompasses everything I love in life and every single page is filled with inspiring imagery that you can just get lost in.

Food Fashion Friends outlines the concept, styling, menu and execution behind a bunch of different parties the author posted over a year or so. I absolutely love to spend time getting lost on pinterest, pinning amazing pictures of over the top dinner parties and weddings, but many times you see these photos and you have to stare at them for a little bit until you figure out exactly how that party was executed. Which is why I immediately fell in love with this book, you see these gorgeous party images and then Fleur Wood outlines every last detail including a music playlist and the entire menu with recipes!

I felt like this would be the perfect favorite find to share with all of you since Christmas is fast approaching and I know that absolutely no one waits til the last minute to buy their gifts. Right? This book would be the perfect gift for a lot of people on your gift shopping list; your foodie friends, your fashionable friends, friends that love to entertain or even just your friends that love insanely gorgeous imagery.

Thanks Danielle for having me!
