Happy Weekend loves! What is on the agenda?? I am actually heading up to SF today( impromptu trip planned about 36 hours ago to play nurse for the weekend) and am heading apparently into the snow...but my home of Simi is supposed to get it while I am away as well...I'll have to report back with I'm sure hundred of pictures of my parents puppysitting Georgie in it
Also, my mom surprised me with this fun Kate Spade iPhone case from the outlet, so there we go! And if I have accidentally deleted your comment this week, I am sorry! I'm still working on figuring this little device out!
These aren't the most flattering pictures of Miss Bynes, but I couldn't help but love this outfit for a casual Saturday afternoon brunch..it is totally my inspiration for my upcoming San Francisco trip(hopefully the weather will permit, but you never know in March!)
I recently just scooped up a beige blazer, add my Minnie pants, a basic white tee most likely scored from the boys, the same Chanel flats seen above, and the biggest sunnies I have for post Friday night recovery.all and all a perfect ensemble to enjoy bottomless Mimosas here with Sara. I love when I see an outfit I adore and don't need to make any new purchases to accomplish it!
One of my great concert regrets was being out of town two summers when Adele performed at the Hollywood Bowl with Etta James. UGH I get upset even typing it.
Her voice literally blows my mind.
Her new single, someone like you just pulls at my heart strings. Who hasn't imagined a moment of running into a past love, who was now moved on?
In this video, you also get a sneak peek into her apartment as well
Oh, and here is Adele and Darius Rucker doing Lady A's Need you now and I'm speechless
Over this rainy LA weekend, I became an Iphone user! Hooray! I have been waiting for verizon to get their own Iphone for quite some time, and this weekend I have been playing with the apps and features and most importantly, trying to decide what case I want.
My front runners are these fabulous custom cases from etsy seller daninotes for 55.00
all of them can be in custom colors, the only problem is that it will take at least two weeks, and I don't know if I have that patience
My second favorite is this Kate Spade cover for 40.00, but I have seen it all around and don't know how original I would be
The next option is this hot pink number from Case-Mate for 38.00
And finally, these cute numbers from Jonathan Adler for 19.95
I am so excited to have the ever fabulous sisters Molly and Sally of A Piece of Toast as the Feb my favorite find..these delightful ladies have a fabulous lifestyle blog where you can read all about fashion, design, their stylish mom who works for J.Crew, and their precious pups..all and all everything I love in life.
First of all, we'd like to give a thankyouverymuch to the ever sweet and stylish Danielle for inviting us to guest post on Sweet Nothings... As babies to the blog world we've found that besides having an outlet for writing and archiving things we love, the most rewarding part has been connecting with other bloggers!
So we are here to showcase our "favorite find". And to us, this find deserves a drumroll.... The. Bombshell. Made by Sultra, the Bombshell is like revolution to straight haired girls like us. Correction - straight, fine, thin, and flat haired girls like us. Don't get us wrong, we aren't ungrateful about our hairs. Sally's a natural blond that highlights once a year to perk up in the winter months, practically an endangered species in this day in age - and Molly is a strawberry blond head, something women "spend mega bucks trying to replicate in salon chairs" or so she is told by many a stylist. So we like the hair, but we craved something beyond the day-after-day poker straight look.
Enter: The. Bomshell. We first read about it on Bailey's blog Peppermint Bliss (hilarious and talented designer living in Chicago). She planted the seed - maybe we CAN do waves, maybe this tool will open doors to waves that can last more than an hour in our corn silk fine hair. We bought it. A one-inch ceramic barrel (basically a curling iron without the clip) that you use wearing a sassy pink glove to wrap sections of hair around. And after awkward first attempts (you pick up how to use it very quickly) the results were too good to be true. Waves. Like photo shoot worthy waves - but whenever we want it. Our hair is long - this tool still created perfect waves that held all day long and were even in tact after sleeping on them.
Now, we no longer look at pictures like these with envy and bitterness - we look and say "Ooh ya, bet they use the Bombshell." And even if they didn't we don't really care - because the Bombshell is our favorite find of the moment and it is honestly rocking our socks off. And the bestest part? The whole process from start to finish only takes 5 minutes tops. Try it on! I mean, who wouldn't want to look like Gwenyth or a Victoria's Secret model in the hair department?
I love finding new style blogs to devour..and lately it seems like all these fabulous women live in SF! Maybe it is the universe telling me I shouldn't have moved..
anyways, Blair of Atlantic-Pacific has such a unique, classic, girly style, once again mixing high and low, reusing pieces, and style her hair in fabulous updos all the while
Hope you all have some time on your hands..you're just going to eat her entire blog up
