Christmas Vacation

Hello ladies! I am going to take a little break from the bloggy here for the rest of the year. Don't worry, I'll be back in full swing on January 2nd. I just need a little time to celebrate the holidays, pack up my apartment, and just breathe and figure out how I can still make this the creative outlet I love with my new work schedule.

Happy(Birthday)Weekend!

Happy weekend lovies! What are your plans for this final full shopping weekend? It is my 27th birthday tomorrow, and I have a low key dinner planned at Geisha House with one of my oldest friends. I could not be happier to leave 26 behind. 26 was one of the hardest years I have ever had with more tears than I ever thought possible. A lot wasn't shared here on the blog because I just didnt want to be a downer all the time. 26 was the epitome of quarter life crisis.

But 27 has lots of hope and promise already. I get the keys to my new apartment in West Hollywood tomorrow. I have a new job that I love even though I work 12 hour days. I have a new outlook on life and some new plans for next year to make the most of my new home over the hill. So, goodbye 26..I couldn't be happier to see you go..bring on 27!

Country Outfitter, a retailer of ariat boots sent me these red heritage ariat boots to review. I was so excited to receive them because I am attending the Stagecoach country music festival in Indio next April, and three days of cowboy boots is a necessity. I also have wanted a pair of red boots since I saw them on How I Met Your Mother.

The boots are super comfortable, and look great with jean shorts and skinny jeans. The detail is intricate, and I already know I will get lots of compliments on them. They are that perfect amount of worn in, yet ready to wear to make my own marks with them. Below is how I plan to style them:

My Favorite Find!

Hello loves! Today is the last installment of "My Favorite Find" series, and I am going to end it on the 3 year anniversary of this little ol blog! Thank you to all the fabulous ladies who have shared their finds here, and to all you readers for actually coming by and reading this blog for the past three years. How quick they go!

I stumbled upon my find in a vintage shop in Berkeley before my 21st birthday. I was going back to NY for Christmas(this was while my family was living there) and was about to head off to Boston for the big 21.

We were just browsing a random shop when I spotted this. Vintage 1970s Halston. 41.00

I didn't even try it on...knew I needed it. Handed my friends 50.00 and ran out of the store, knowing that the owner must've forgot a zero and I was never going to go home with her.

an amazing mauve mini dress with tie sash that looks so fun on! I've only worn it twice..for my 21st birthday and one other time in Las Vegas, but I just adore looking at it in my closet, knowing maybe if I do 50,000 more squats I can rock it again!

What is your favorite Christmas song? I have a few..in my family we have a tradition of playing the same two songs on Christmas morning ..Do they know its Christmas folowed by Gloria Estefan Christmas in Your Eyes. After that, we have a fun mix of the classics, country, and of course my pop favorites.

But I will say, the song that always gets me is Otis Redding White Christmas.

I love his soulful voice and it gives me chills every time.

Happy weekend loves! Hope you all had a lovely week..first week on the job and it has been a whirlwind, 10+ hour days and I love it. Minus the commute..so maybe ill find an apartment this weekend in between catching up on sleep, your blogs, Christmas shopping, puppy snuggles, the dvr, and did I mention sleep?

Excuse Moi

I'm a huge Muppet Fan. I saw the movie last week, cried, came home and watched my Muppet DVDs. If they actually did tours of the Jim Henson Studio on La Brea I'd go all the time. If me and Jason Segal ever dated, there would be too much Muppet love to ever make it work.

Anyways, for those of you not super creeped out by my love of Muppets, I suggest checking out the OPI collection. I just ordered Exuse Moi to wear on my nails this holiday season(among a few other colors)
