Crock Pot Cooking

So, do I need a crockpot. Everyone keeps on swearing it is the best thing to happen to cooking, and my mom has one that she's never used. What do you ladies think? I have some receipes pinned from pinterest, but wondering if I will really use it or just have it use up storage

  1. Yes yes yes! I love mine, especially because I can throw something in before work and come home to an already cooked, yummy meal. It cuts down on those days where you're so hungry you just go out or eat junk. LOVE!

  2. its good in the winter for sure. you have to be big into soups/stews i think. i use mine for carnitas, slow cooked pork kinda stuff and its awesome. its really satisfying to come home from work and the house smells amazing!

  4. I say grab one. I mean, they're great for homemade meals after a long day out AND serve as great storage for things in your cubbard ;)

I swear by them during the week in the winter months. I don't get home until at least 6 {at the earliest} so to have a hot meal basically ready is a godsend especially when I'm typically feeding at least one other person usually two. I fully agree with Holly; It is really satisfying to come home from work and the house smells amazing!

  5. YES! It's pretty much the only time I eat real meals because I hate cooking. You can really cook anything too. I love making pulled pork, pot roast, chicken marsala, and tacos. It's foolproof!

  7. I don't have one but my mom did growing up and I remember her throwing crap in there before leaving for work, and we'd get home to dinner!

  9. Yes! Mine is older than dirt and was passed down to me from my mom. It's also super ugly, but it's one of those things that was built to last. I make everything in it. Pot roast, chili, stew, you name it. Get on it girlfriend!!
